Hello and welcome to Sunol Hills at Ridgeview! We are dedicated to treating our clients with respect and empathy as we support them on their journey to health. We recognize the challenges faced by patients and their families and are committed to providing comprehensive care through a multidisciplinary approach. Here’s what you can expect:
Medical Evaluations
Initial Evaluations: Our attending internist will conduct initial medical evaluations, focusing on non-psychotropic medications, vitamins, and supplements to ensure your overall health.
Psychiatric Care
Weekly Assessments: You will meet with our attending psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner weekly to discuss and assess any medication changes that may be beneficial for your treatment plan.
Individual Therapy
Therapy Sessions: You will engage in individual therapy sessions twice a week with one of our skilled and compassionate therapists.
Family Sessions: Family therapy sessions, when indicated, can be facilitated once a week to support your recovery journey. These sessions can be held virtually or in person, depending on your preference.
Group Therapy
Group Therapy Sessions: Participate in group therapy sessions to gain support and insights from peers who are on similar recovery journeys. These sessions are facilitated by experienced therapists.
Nutritional Support
Personalized Meal Plans: Our experienced dietitian will create a personalized meal plan tailored to your nutritional needs and goals.
Educational Meetings: Meet with our dietitian twice weekly to receive nutrition education and set weekly goals. These meetings aim to challenge and change any mental distortions about food and weight.
Group Activities: Participate in weekly nutrition groups and outings designed to help you overcome food-related fears and gain confidence in handling various food situations.
Visiting Hours and Communication
Daily Visiting Hours: Families are welcome to visit from 6-7 p.m. daily, with extended hours on weekends to accommodate family time.
Remote Communication: Phone calls or Zoom meetings are allowed between 6-9 p.m., up to 30 minutes each, providing flexibility in maintaining connections with loved ones. Please refrain from visiting if you are unwell to ensure the safety of all clients and staff.
Outings and Passes
Weekend Activities: Clients are encouraged to participate in weekend outings and passes, which are approved each Thursday based on medical and clinical suitability. These activities are integral to recovery, allowing clients to engage in outside activities and spend time with family, guided by our dietitian
Family Participation: We encourage family involvement during outings to help strengthen the support system and foster a sense of normalcy and connection.
Daily Routine
Structured Schedule: Our daily program includes structured meal times, snacks, therapy sessions, group activities, and personal time to ensure a balanced approach to recovery.
Morning Activities: Each day begins with a morning check-in and breakfast, followed by individual therapy sessions, group discussions, and various therapeutic activities.
Afternoon Activities: Afternoons are dedicated to additional therapy sessions, educational workshops, and physical activities designed to promote overall well-being.
Evening Activities: Evenings include dinner, reflection time, and relaxation activities to wind down and prepare for a restful night.

Continued Support: Upon completion of the program, we provide a detailed aftercare plan to ensure you have the necessary support and resources to continue your recovery journey.

What to Pack
We ask that you bring only one suitcase and limit yourself to at most 9 sets of clothes since laundry facilities are available. Here's our handy checklist:
Personal Hygiene Items: Deodorant, Toothbrush & Toothpaste, Shampoo/Conditioner, A hairbrush
Medications: Please pack at least 3 days worth of current medications in their original containers.
Tech Gear: Bringing a computer for schoolwork is acceptable. Cell phone usage is permitted, but there are limitations to avoid distraction during treatment.
Comfort Items: Feel free to bring a comforter you love and photos to make your space feel like home (just no glass frames, please).

Visiting outside of designated hours is generally not permitted to ensure all clients adhere to their treatment schedules. However, special arrangements can be discussed with the Program Manager.

Our dietitian will work with you to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies, ensuring that your meal plan meets your specific needs.
