Dr. Vikas Duvvuri

Dr. Vikas Duvvuri holds a PhD in Neurosciences from Stanford and a medical degree from UC San Diego. Trained at Caltech and Stanford, he specializes in the neurochemistry of eating disorders. He has been instrumental in starting several eating disorder programs and was the founding Medical Director of Adolescent Services at UC San Diego. In addition to owning Sunol Hills, Dr. Duvvuri previously served as the Medical Director at Fremont Hospital. His work focuses on providing holistic care that is deeply rooted in the latest scientific research, ensuring the best outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Trevor Fooks

Owner

Dr. Trevor Fooks serves as the Medical Director at Sunol Hills at Oakview, bringing a wealth of experience to the role. Prior to this, he dedicated his expertise as the Medical Director at Fremont Hospital and as the Associate Medical Director at Magellan Behavioral Health. His career has been enriched by diverse experiences in public, private, and academic settings, including valuable roles at San Francisco General Hospital, Group Practice Affiliates, and UC Berkeley.

A native of England, Dr. Fooks completed his medical education in Massachusetts, eventually finding his calling in the Bay Area. His unwavering dedication to patient care and his extensive background allow him to lead with both compassion and exceptional expertise.

Dr. Harmohinder (Herman) Athwal

Owner

Dr. Athwal is a Stanford-trained, Board Certified Child Psychiatrist with over 14 years of dedicated experience. He has worked extensively with children and adolescents across various settings. Previously, he served as the Director of the Adolescent Program in an inpatient setting and now leads as the Director of Adolescent PHP at Fremont Hospital. His commitment to patient care is evident in his dedication to each individual’s mental health and recovery.

Jamie Lopez

Director of Operations

With over 13 years of experience in the eating disorder field, Jamie Lopez excels in managing various aspects of healthcare operations. She is passionate about her multifaceted role and is currently pursuing her IAEDP Associate certification to further enhance her expertise. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys quality time with her family, including her daughter and dog, and is an enthusiastic San Francisco Giants fan. Her dedication to operational excellence ensures that patients at Sunol Hills receive the highest level of care and support throughout their recovery journey.
